GPRWC is leading this comprehensive and resident-focused community planning effort. In 2022 and the first half of 2023, we surveyed or interviewed hundreds of community members, held visioning meetings, and commissioned a business corridor analysis for the Madison-Pulaski corridor. Since mid-2023, we have been partnering with LISC to use its evidence-based process to move forward on QLP. We are integrating our previous work into LISC’s systems and are now bringing hundreds of community members to the table to determine community priorities, assess current assets, and join working groups. Each working group will establish three to five priorities and initial strategies for priority areas such as public safety, education, affordable housing, workforce development, and economic opportunity.
The resulting plan, anticipated to be finalized in December of 2024, will identify community priorities and strategies to advance quality of life and will form the basis for GPRWC’s future projects.
